Notes

The northeast and northwest colonnades of the Thermac of Caracalla (AD 211-17) are not drawn in. The drawing is rather mechanical and Dance may have made the plan from published or other sources and then measured on site the remains of the teipidarium, frigidarium and other apartments, adding the dimensions in feet and inches to his drawing.
