Preliminary design for a fountain, ND
Aspect
Rough elevation of two variant designs for a fountain, as well as an elevation of a tapering pier, ornamented with a rosette and surmounted by a pyramidal(?) top, and with a plan for a masonry joint(?). The left-hand fountain takes the form of a fluted urn, supprted by a square-based pedestal ornamented with calyx, and with a lion mask spout, and surmounted by an urn-lid-style top ornamented with beading and spiral fluting. The right-hand fountain takes the form of an urn, ornamented with fluting and guilloche, supported by a square(?)-based pedestal ornamented with beading, and the whole is surmounted by a pier ornamented with lion head spouts, a festoon, a rosette, and surmounted by a pyramidal(?) top
