Purpose

Finished drawings and office drawings for mirror frames, 1783; it is not known if these designs were executed (4)

Notes

These drawings comprise finished drawings and record drawings for two designs: one design is a pier glass frame, and the other is a mirror frame, possibly for a recess. Their intended location and executed status is not known.

Inscriptions on the drawings concerning the cost of producing pairs of mirrors would suggest that each design was intended to be executed twice. Moreover, the drawings are inscribed as being for places marked A and B which would suggest that they were intended for the same room, and denoted as A and B on a plan which has since been lost.
