[38] Design for an overmantel mirror frame for the second library, 1779, possibly executed
Aspect
Elevation of a tripartite, overmantel mirror frame as SM Adam volume 20/217, but with minor alterations. The central roundel is replaced with the Roxburghe crest depicting a rosette surmounted by a unicorn, and the winged figures are replaced with half-satyrs. The surmounting ornamentation of the flanking compartments terminate in urns
