[31] Design for a pier glass and table for the first library, c1779, unexecuted
Aspect
Elevation of a pier table with socle feet and fluted legs, with rosettes ornamenting the spandrels set in between the legs, and the capitals containing paterae. The frieze is ornamented with festoons of husks. Above this there is an elevation of a semi-circular-headed pier glass frame bordered with a moulded band. Surmounting the frame there is a tripod ornamented with ram masks and supporting a globe. The tripod is flanked by winged putti and festoons of husks
