Purpose

[7] Design for the principal front of a hospital chapel, 1778, unexecuted

Aspect

Elevation of a two-storey, five-bay building with a hipped roof as SM Adam volume 10/88. The balustrades for the first-storey level windows are omitted. The flanking carriage arches are ornamented with medallions set within the spandrels, and they are surmounted by reclining figures flanked by urns / lanterns
