[1] Design for the ground storey of a house, c1772, as executed
Aspect
Plan of the ground storey of a three-bay building, with a stepped entrance in the third bay. Beyond the entrance there is a rectangular hall with a fireplace, which leads to a dog-legged principal staircase with an apse containing niches, and with a further staircase beyond. To the left of the hall there is a two-bay dining room with an apsidal end, and this links to an apsidal ended parlour with a three-bay bow window to the rear. To the right of the parlour there is a library with a pair of colonnaded screens, and this leads to an octagonal dressing room, with a powdering room and water closet beyond. To the rear of the parlour there is a balustraded space, with a stable and coach houses beyond
