[92] Finished drawing for a candelabrum, 1773, possibly executed
Aspect
Elevation of a candelabrum with a socle base ornamented with a central patera, arabesques, and rosette roundels. The base supports a central turned baluster with festoons of husks. Above this there is a rosette flanked by bands of guilloche, and an anthemion bearing a tubular flower and urn. The urn is ornamented with bands of guilloche, bands of beading, and a central half-putto flanked by arabesques. The flared lid of the urn is ornamented with bands of guilloche, fluting and reed and ribbon, and is surmounted by a pine cone. The central baluster and urn are flanked by fluted, sabre legs with paw feet, which terminate in ram masks. The ram masks bear festoons of husks and support a pair of candle branches embellished with foliage. The candle branches support candle holders in the form of tubular flowers
