[31] Unfinished design for a chimneypiece for the ante room, 1772, as executed
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece, with the lining bordered by beading and laurel leaf tips. The pilaster stiles are ornamented with fluting and scroll work, which terminates in acanthus leaves. The capitals contain paterae, and the frieze is ornamented with rosettes and urns, with linking festoons of husks. Above the frieze there is a band of egg and dart moulding, and the mantel is ornamented with a band of laurel leaf tips
