Purpose

[14] Design for a sideboard table for the eating room, 1773, unexecuted

Aspect

Elevation of a sideboard table with turned feet containing tablets depicting rosettes, and fluted legs which terminate in wreaths enclosing rosettes. The table has capitals containing arabesques, and a frieze of fluting with a central panel ornamented with arabesques and rosettes. Above the frieze there is a band of laurel leaf tips, and a band of guilloche
