[95] Preliminary design for ornamental semi-circular panels, c1773, possibly executed
Aspect
Plan of a semi-circular ornamental panel which contains a central figurative medallion surmounted by an anthemion, and this is flanked by socle bases supporting urns bearing anthemia. The urns and medallion are linked by festoons of calyx, which suspend rosettes. All this is set within a band ornamented with arabesques enclosed within semi-circular headed compartments, and is flanked by bands of fluting and rosettes
