[17] Design for a chimneypiece for the library, 1773, possibly executed

Aspect

Elevation of a chimneypiece with a lining bordered with a band of laurel leaf tips. The pilaster stiles are ornamented with a band of anthemia alternating with calyx. The capitals contain cameos surrounded by calyx, and the frieze is ornamented with further cameos, set within wreaths supported by arabesques, and the wreaths alternate with calyx supporting anthemia. The frieze is surmounted by bands of laurel leaf tips
