[9] Design for a chimneypiece for the ground-floor drawing room, 1773, possibly executed
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with Corinthian pilaster stiles ornamented with a continuous band of anthemia enclosed within scrolled hearts. The capitals contain roundels depicting greyhounds, and the frieze has a central roundel containing a mask set within a rosette. The roundel is flanked by tubular flowers supporting calyx enclosed within semi-circular-headed compartments. Above the frieze there is a band of oak leaves, a band of fluting, and a band of egg and dart moulding
