[33] Unfinished design for a mirror frame for the second drawing room, 1774, possibly executed
Aspect
Elevation of a mirror frame ornamented with a band of anthemia alternating with calyx and a band of laurel leaf tips. The frame is surmounted by an oval formed with a band of calyx, and this contains a draped cameo depicting a lekythos and a rosette flanked by thyrsi and surmounted by an anthemion. Above this there is a wreath enclosing a further anthemion, and all this is flanked by armorial supporters in the form of greyhounds, arabesques and rosettes. The greyhounds support panels containing anthemia and surmounted by lekythoi bearing anthemia
