[15] Design for a ceiling for the library, 1773, possibly executed
Aspect
Plan of a square ceiling with a central figurative roundel enclosed within a circular band of rosettes, a moulded band, a band of calyx, and a plain band. Beyond this there are enclosed masks, foil and calyx, and an oval band of reed and ribbon, which is surrounded by festoons of husks enclosing anthemia, arabesques, and calyx supporting tubular flowers and anthemia. All this is set within an oval band of continuous wreaths, which enclose calyx and anthemia
