Purpose

[3] Finished drawing for the second storey of a house, c1772, unexecuted

Aspect

Plan of the second storey of an L-shaped block for a seven-bay building. The central-bay of the western front is projecting. The block contains a dog-leg staircase in the north section, and this links to a dressing room and bedroom to the east. The western portion contains a passage which links to further bedrooms. To the south-east of the block there is a square, two-by-two-bay block containing a bedroom, which is accessed via a staircase linking to the lower level
