Purpose

[3] Finished drawing for a corn market, c1772, unexecuted

Aspect

Elevation of a one-and-a-half-storey, three-bay, pedimented building surmounted by acroteria supporting statuary. At the ground-storey level there are double-height, semi-circular-headed entrances articulated by Doric pilasters and flanked by giant Spalatro pilasters. Above the entrance there is a band of guilloche, and there are quarter-height windows in the upper register
