[10] Preliminary design for a house, c1778, unexecuted
Aspect
Elevation of the rear front of an eleven-bay, crenulated building, which is alternatively shown at two storeys and two-and-a-half storeys, both with a part-sunken basement level. There is a central, stepped entrance leading to a raised ground-storey level. The entrance is flanked by three-quarter-height windows, and at first-storey level there is a string course and half-height windows. In the upper register there are quarter-height windows and the roof line is ornamented with miniature turrets. The rotunda is surmounted by a crenulated, circular tower with semi-circular-headed windows, and this is surmounted by a spire
