[51] Finished drawing for a tureen, c1772, possibly executed

Aspect

Elevation of a tureen with a socle base ornamented with rosettes enclosed within calyx. The tureen is ornamented with bands of beading and of acanthus leaves. The central panel contains a coat of arms, with bands of arabesques and of beading above, and there is a frieze of vine festoons. The lip of the tureen is fluted and the base of the handles are formed from satyr masks
