[8] Preliminary design for an arch and gatehouse, c1778, unexecuted
Aspect
Above- Elevation of a two-storey arch, with spandrels ornamented with rosettes/roundels(?), surmounted by a plinth ornamented with a roundel and swags, and this supports a chimney stove. The arch is flanked by single-storey, three-bay gatehouses, with the central bay pedimented and containing an entrance with a fan light. Above the entrance there is an ornamental tablet and a central chimney stack
Below- Plan of a central archway, flanked by three-by-one-bay buildings, with the central bay of the principal front slightly projecting
