This monolithic shaft which is fluted has its location given as San Giovanni in Fonte, which is an alternative name for the Lateran Baptistry. It is again carefully measured but, at 5 braccia and 6 minutes (2.97m) in height, it is a little shorter than the one to the left. No such shaft can be found in the baptistery today.
