Purpose

Record drawing for a frieze for the dining room, Great George Street, N.D. (1)

Notes

The pencil inscription assigns this design to Henry Drummond’s property in Great George Street where, according to King, Drummond resided until 1772. The design likely forms part of the same scheme as the alternative designs for a dining room ceiling (Adam volume 11/128-129).

Bolton incorrectly referenced this frieze as Adam volume 53/55.
