Designs for chimneypieces for the dining room and parlour, 1776, unexecuted and executed with alterations (2)

Notes

The dining room in the Governor's house does contain an Adam- style chimneypiece, but not to this design.

Adam's chimneypiece for the parlour - or state room - in the Governor's house survives in situ. It was executed to a simplified version of this design, with only the pilaster stiles, and the ram mask ornaments.
