[13] Design for a chimneypiece for the front parlour, 1775, as executed

Aspect

Elevation of a chimneypiece with stiles ornamented with tapering fluted supports surmounted by roundels containing urns. The capitals are ornamented with masks, and there is a fluted frieze and central tablet containing an urn flanked by sphinxes. Above there is an overmantel panel with a central figurative roundel enclosed within a band of fluting. There are Corinthian pilaster stiles ornamented with anthemia, capitals containing lion masks, a frieze of swags and peltoid shields and a central figurative cameo
