[39] Design for an overmantel mirror frame for the second drawing room, 1777, possibly executed

Aspect

Elevation of a tripartite overmantel mirror frame. The stiles formed from tapering terms, with a base ornamented with a fan surmounted by a pedestal bearing an urn flanked by candle branches. The terms bear festoons from which there is a centrally suspended rosette. The frame is surmounted by a central cameo and half-putto bearing a cornucopia. All this is surrounded by arabesques and there are corner anthemia
