Plain rectangular card table, mahogany, English, unknown maker, c.1760

Mahogany veneer on deal with solid mahogany legs and baize

Height (closed): 72.8cm
Height (open): 70.6cm
Width: 85.4cm
Depth (closed): 41.8cm
Depth (open): 83.6cm

Museum number: XF380

Curatorial note

With four straight square legs; opens on a single gate leg to form a square card table, which retains its original baize.

This plain card table seems marginally more likely than XF18 to be the ‘mahogany table with top to turn over and covered with baize’ listed in the North attic, although both match this description.
