Curatorial note
This mirror hangs in its original position on the north wall of Soane’s Crypt. It is placed against a section of panelling, as if it were hung on a door, in the central recess on the north wall. These recesses served as divisions for the wine bins in Soane’s cellar prior to its conversion.
