Curatorial note

With shaped corners; the top opens to form an almost square card table lined with three different strips of green baize; four plain cabriole legs, one of which is a gate-leg, and pad feet.

This table does not seem to be in the 1837 inventory although it could be the ‘mahogany table with top to turn over and covered with baize’ listed in the North attic and identified in this catalogue as cat. XF380.
