Curatorial note
Enriched on the concave interior with concave fluting leading to a central rosette. Note that one of the images accompanying this entry shows the convex outer face and the other the concave inner face of this fragment.
Rome; collected by Charles Heathcote Tatham for the architect Henry Holland during the 1790s. See Cornelius Vermeule, unpublished catalogue of the Antiquities at Sir John Soane's Museum, Introduction, transcription of Tatham letters, List 3, no. 13.
