The ante room chimneypiece is included in the second volume of The works in architecture of Robert and James Adam (part 1, plate 2), and is illustrated in accordance with this drawing. Adam's preface to this plate reads:

Section of the Chimney-side of the Anti-room in the principal Storey. The ornamentes are all in stucco; and the grounds both of the ceiling and side-walls are all picked in, with different tints of green, which has a simple and elegant effect. The chimney-piece is of statuary marble, and the girandoles are painted.

Here it is suggested that the chimneypiece - in both Adam's drawing and the Works - is shown as executed. However, it is not known to have survived when the house was demolished in 1862.
