London: Bartholomew Lane, City of London: party wall negotiation, alterations and redecoration for Messrs Down[e], Thornton and Free, 1801 (1)

An entry in Soane's Journal 4, p. 377, records 'assessment of party wall damage by neighbouring works and inspection of a crack.' Soane's survey is catalogued here, but no drawings for the proposed alterations - which included the reconstruction of the rear elevation and general redecoration - survive.

The house has a frontage of roughly 22 feet and measures approximately 55 feet from front to back.
