James Alexander: unexecuted designs for an unknown country house, 1775 (5)
Arthur Bolton identified James Alexander as a merchant from Stirling, and otherwise he is unknown. Moreover, it is not known for what location he commissioned Robert Adam to make these designs for a new country house in 1775, which is not known to have been executed.
