Design for a carpet for the dining room, 1778, possibly executed (1)

Harris notes that SM Adam volume 17/197 is a rare example of an Adam design for a dining room carpet. Those designs that are known are all of a later date, for example the design for the eating room carpet at Home House (SM Adam volume 17/197), and those for the dining rooms at Cumberland House, dating to 1776 and 1780 respectively.
