Design for sheds near the stable block, 30 October 1800 (1)

Henry Provis encloses in his letter a design for the sheds. The building is attached to an existing wall near the stable. It has a smith's shop, a wheeler's shop, a slaughter-house, lumber shed and a shed for storing wood. Aside from the two-storey slaughterhouse, the rooms are covered with a simple lean-to timber roof. Each has a window and door facing the court. These workshops still survive today (P. Dean, p. 185).
