The dining room is 36 feet by 24 feet six inches. It has the same large (?) south window as the drawing room, the two doors and the corresponding shallow alcoves on the opposite (chimney-piece) wall are set within a semicircular arch with a lintel supporting a Grecian wine pot with festoons. The frieze has triglyphs, crossed spears and a mask of (?) Apollo. The imposts over the doors have a double rosette set within a scroll ornamented with husk and honeysuckle motifs (drawing 25).
