Record drawings, 5 and 12 November 1800 (2)

Drawings 64 and 65 show Pitzhanger Manor as it was before Soane's rebuilding. However, they are dated to November, at least two months after demolition work began on the main part of the house. It can therefore be assumed that they were worked up from earlier sketches, perhaps for an historical record. Drawing 64 provides a glimpse of the Dance wing, on the left, its two storeys contrasting with the three storeys of the rest of the house. Drawing 65 shows the Dance wing more clearly - a three bay, two-storey structure.
