Variant preliminary design and finished drawing for a greenhouse, 1780, executed with alterations (2)

The greenhouse was executed with alterations to these designs. The executed façade is entirely semicircular, and surmounted by a balustrade. The chimney stacks in the shape of sarcophagi were omitted, and the executed medallions are all circular rather than oval. It survives in situ.

There is an undated Adam office drawing within the National Trust drawings collection at Osterley which is much closer to the executed building.
