Unexecuted designs for additions, 1817-1818

The first Marquess of Buckingham died on 11 February 1813 and was succeeded by his son who eventually asked Soane to make additions and alterations. The drawings that follow were made between August 1817 and April 1818 but were not executed.

Drawings [67] - [68] are inscribed (in added pencil) ''Lady Grenville' who may be the Duke's sister - Mary Anne Nugent Temple Grenville? The additions here are for Lord and Lady Buckingham - dressing rooms, writing room, morning room etc. These were not realised.

Drawings [69] - [73] are rough survey drawings attributed to Soane while [74] and [75] are finished survey elevations.
