Unfinished design for a tripod pole screen for the Etruscan dressing room, and preliminary design for an alternative border for this screen, 1779 (2)

The Etruscan dressing room tripod pole screen was executed with alterations to Adam volume 17/148. The carved putti were not included, the cabriole legs with paw feet became curved legs ornamented with ram heads, and the border was executed in accordance with Adam volume 17/149. It survives in situ, containing Sarah Child's embroidered panel, which was executed in accordance with Adam volume 17/145. It is interesting to note that there is a feint pencil-drawn elevation of the executed embroidery design (Adam volume 17/145) within the panel of the executed pole screen design (Adam volume 17/149).
