Variant finished drawing and record drawing for a carpet for the tapestry room, 1775, drawing 50 as executed (2)

The carpet for the tapestry room was executed by Thomas Moore in accordance with Adam volume 17/188, and survives in situ. According to Harris, Jacques Neilson provided Adam with a drawing of part of the tapestry for this room. Adam must have seen this prior to designing the carpet, which principally related to his ceiling design for the room (Adam volumes 11/206 and 11/207), but also incorporated tazze similar to those in the tapestry.
