Design for the chimneypiece for the front parlour, c1770-71; it is not known if this design was executed (1)

The front parlour would have been located at the front, overlooking the river, on the ground storey of the house.

This drawing is labelled as being for both the Royal Terrace and Adam Street, but the River Front is explicitly stated, so it is tentatively assumed here that the design was intended for the Royal Terrace. Moreover, there is no record of the design being used elsewhere.

It is not known if this design was executed as there is no known photographic record of the chimneypiece prior to demolition.
