Record drawing for a garden pavilion, 1768, unexecuted (1)

James Adam's garden pavilion design for Littlecote was not executed, and this record drawing is the only extant drawing for it. It is possible that a presentation drawing was given to Edward Popham, and is now lost, suggesting that it might have been a one-off speculative venture on James's part. Popham, however, may have commissioned, and then dropped the project prior to the production of any further designs.

The plan of this design is related to the garden pavilions designed for Kenwood (SM Adam volume 19/151) and Kedleston (SM Adam volume 19/149-150).
