Working drawings for the back and seat of the chairs for the first drawing room, 1778, as executed (2)

These designs for upholstery for the seat furniture suggest that the same design was utilised for the first, second and great drawing rooms. Harris points to the Mr King referred to in the inscription for Adam volume 17/90 and notes that it is likely to refer to the cloth merchants King and Pagget, from whom Sir Watkin Williams Wynn purchased fabrics in 1776.
