Design for the stables, with running dimensions, February 1793 (3)

Drawings 18 to 20 show the same design as drawings 15 to 17 and with running dimensions for estimating the cost of bricks and timber. The building measures 102 by 123 feet 9 inches. The ride that faces the rear elevation spans 120 feet 9 inches. As in drawing 12, there are three coach houses, and stables for hackney horses, coach horse, and hunters.

Drawing 19 shows the front elevation of the stables, with a round-arched entrance surmounted by a clock tower and flanked by bays of recessed round-headed arches with glazed crowns. The rear elevation is the same as drawing 17 but omitting the crowning urns.

On 13 February 1793, Frederick Meyer was 'drawing working plans of stables' (Daybook 1792). The stables design was approved three days later and ordered to be built immediately. However, this design was not built.
