First edition. In two parts. Part 2 has drop-head title: 'Miscellaneous poems, &c. By Mr. Wycherley. Vol. II.' and separate pagination and register. Some of the verses on pp. 3--4 of vol. II are by Alexander Pope. A second volume containing letters and poems was published in 1729. ESTC t44095; CBEL II, 742.

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on front free-endpaper with the signature of John Soane Pem: Hall / Camb: 1806. i.e. John Soane junior, who was a student at Pembroke Hall, Cambridge. Also inscribed in ink on front pastedown with a bookseller's code, on the front free-endpaper with the price -2- and in pencil on the verso of the same leaf 1-6.

Binding C18th Cambridge-style blind-panelled sheep, gilt double-ruled spine with gilt-tooled fleur de lys centre ornaments, dark-red spine-label.
