First published 1632 (q.v.). The text is apparently unabridged, but the plates have been greatly reduced in number in order to make a more manageable volume. A textually much-enlarged new edition edited by Paolo Aringhi (with reimpressions of the original plates and re-engraved additional title-plate) was also published the following year in Rome 'expensis Blasii Diversini & Zanibii Masotti Bibliopolarum' under the title Roma subterranea novissima.

Unidentified owner's oval heraldic mark stamped five times on title-page. Ink inscription at foot of imprint Inis[?illegible], later crossed out in ink.
