The fourth of a series of books of Picturesque views of English rivers written and illustrated by Samuel Ireland. With an errata slip tipped in at the end. According to Ireland, the drawings may be found to have additional value from having been made shortly before the devastating floods of 1795. Abbey, Scenery, no. 544. ESTC n34299.

Copy Notes Inscribed in pencil on front free-endpaper in the bookseller Thomas Boone's hand Collated & Perfect. Bound as purchased as a set with nine other volumes by John and Samuel Ireland, on Hogarth (2 vols, q.v.), Holland (q.v.), the Inns of Court (q.v.) and the rivers Thames (2 vols, q.v.), Avon (q.v.), and Medway (q.v.).

Binding C19th mottled calf, gilt double-rule borders, gilt-tooled spines with sunbursts, black and green spine-labels, marbled edges and endpapers. Uniform with six other works by John and Samuel Ireland (see above).
