Traité de la coupe des pierres, où par une méthode facile & abregée, l'on peut aisément se perfectionner en cette science. Par J. B. De La Rue architecte. ...
A Paris de l'imprimerie royale, 1728 [i.e. 1738].
[14], 185, [1] p., add. engr. t.-pl., [134] pl. (on 69 leaves, 20 fold.) : [6] engr. illus. ; 43.5 cm. (2°)

This appears to be another edition or reissue of the first edition of 1728 with the new date added to the engraved title-plate. The plates are numbered in two sequences; the first numbered I--LXVII, the second lettered A--F. Many are printed on both sides of the plate or twice or three times on separate sheets for ease of reference, and some have moving overlays. La Rue's treatise was in its day the most accurate and comprehensive work on stone-cutting for building. See BAL Early printed books, no. 1765 (1728 ed.).
