Copy Notes Pages 59--80 only of the April issue, comprising the articles: 'Mr. Wilkins And The National Gallery', pp. 59--74; 'Autobiography Of A Picture-Fancier', (pp. 74--79); and the first page of 'Punch's Patent Rights. The Legitimate Street-Drama.'. Ink inscription at head of first page By George Vivian Esq. of Claverton House, in Bath. / for the Antijacobin Review & Mage ap. 1833 signed J Britton. With an ALs. from Britton to Soane dated 5 October 1834 enclosing for your perusal Mr Vivian's Essay on the National Gallery, & I am satisfied you will duly appreciate the writer. Let me beg you to return it, as I am very anxious to preserve it amongst my miscellaneous papers on Architectural subjects. With several passages in Vivian's text marked in pencil. George Vivian (1798--1873) was a topographical artist, architect and collector.
