First published in 1767 as by 'Thomas Mawe, Gardener To His Grace The Duke Of Leeds'. However, Abercrombie states categorically that he alone is 'the real and sole author, or only writer of the Book, both in the original and of all the additional improvements in every succeeding Edition to the present Sixteenth, inclusive' (Preface, p. vii). Binding Early C19th sprinkled calf, gilt-ruled spine, black morocco spine-label lettered in gilt 'Mawe's Gardeners Calendar'.
